1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Skip the Deposit's deposit replacement insurance services. By purchasing a policy or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility
To purchase a policy, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a UK resident with a valid tenancy agreement
- Pass our affordability and identity checks
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Not be bankrupt or in an IVA
3. The Insurance Policy
3.1 Policy Coverage
Our deposit replacement insurance protects landlords against rental defaults and property damage, removing the need for a traditional cash deposit.
3.2 Premium Payments
Premiums are paid monthly by Direct Debit or card payment. Failure to pay may result in policy cancellation.
3.3 Policy Duration
Policies run for the length of your tenancy. Coverage begins on your tenancy start date.
4. Your Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide accurate information in your application
- Pay premiums on time
- Notify us of changes to your circumstances
- Comply with your tenancy agreement
- Report any claims promptly
- Cooperate with claim investigations
5. Cancellation
14-Day Cooling Off Period
You can cancel within 14 days of policy start for a full refund (less any claims paid).
After Cooling Off Period
You may cancel at any time, but no refund will be given for unused premiums. The policy remains in force until the end of the current billing period.
6. Claims
6.1 Making a Claim
Claims must be reported within 30 days of the incident. Evidence will be required.
6.2 Claim Assessment
Claims are assessed by our underwriters. You remain liable for any amounts not covered by the policy.
6.3 Your Liability
You remain responsible for repaying any amounts paid out under the policy, as per your policy terms.
7. Limitations of Liability
We are not liable for losses arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Your failure to provide accurate information
- Circumstances not covered by the policy
- Third-party service failures
- Force majeure events
8. Website Use
Our website is provided "as is". You must not misuse it or attempt to access it using methods other than the interface provided.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with our service, please contact us at complaints@skipthedeposit.com. If we can't resolve your complaint, you may refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

10. Changes to Terms
